Bellies Inc. was founded in 2010 by 3 moms working independently in Pre/Post Natal Fitness and Physiotherapy who had visions of more effective and innovative strategies for core health and wellness in pregnancy and for new moms. Kim Vopni, Julia Di Paolo and Samantha Montpetit-Huynh are passionate about improving prenatal and postpartum health and fitness and they have compiled their personal stories, their professional experience as well as the most current scientific research into an innovative program that will help you prepare your core for birth and teach you how to optimize your postpartum healing.
Kim Vopni, is a Personal Traner and mother of 2 boys. After educating herself on proactive pelvic floor wellness during her pregnancies she became the Canadian distributor for the EPI-NO which heightened her passion for increasing the awareness on this ‘taboo’ subject.
She also learned about diastasis recti abdominis (DRA) and the strong correlation it has to pelvic floor dysfunction. She diagnosed herself with diastasis after her second son was 2 years old and decided then to specialize in pre/postnatal fitness to help other women prevent and treat pelvic floor dysfunction and DRA.
Through extensive product testing and specialized training Kim created the Prepare To Push™ program for expectant moms in 2009. Shortly thereafter Kim met Samantha Montpetit-Huynh and the two began to share strategies and explore ways to reach more women.
Samantha Montpetit-Huynh is a certified pre and postnatal exercise specialist and the mother of 2 girls who grew and sold a successful pre/postnatal personal training company. She has established herself as an expert in the field and created the successful ‘ab rehab’ program for the treatment of DRA which has helped hundreds of clients. Recognizing a void in the availability of good quality information and products related to DRA, Samantha and Kim began researching abdominal support garments and treatment strategies which eventually connected them to physiotherapist Julia Di Paolo.
Julia Di Paolo is a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health, spine and sports injuries. She is the mother of 2 young boys and has been treating pre and postnatal clients with DRA for several years. During her own pregnancies she was determined not to lose her core function and successfully avoided getting a diastasis of her abdominal muscles using an exercise program she created based on learnings from multiple influences. By combining her extensive knowledge of spinal health, DRA and pelvic floor function, Julia is fast becoming one of the most sought after pelvic floor physiotherapists in Toronto. After meeting with Samantha and Kim and realizing shared passions, a plan was hatched and Bellies Inc was born.
Meet Our Team
When we started this business it was just us and it was just us for the first few years. It then became obvious that we needed help!
Julia is still a practicing physiotherapist. She is also our R&D person – attending conferences and courses so we can always offer the most relevant information and research to our consumers.
Sam balances training pregnant women and new moms with being the fitness expert on The Marilyn Denis Show and also handling some of the social media and the management of our Core Confidence Trainers.
Kim is the operations gal and coordinates the manufacturing and supply chain side of things. As she gets the hang of that, she is now seeing clients again.
We are all still active in teaching and speaking roles and continue to develop new products and services to best serve you! For the day to day running of the ship, we have a fantastic team in place that supports us. We adore them and are truly grateful that they take pride and passion in helping us make Bellies Inc great!
Kelly Williams is our awesome Customer Service and Assistant Administrator and has been with us since 2015. Kelly holds an Honors B.A in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University, a B.Ed from Queen’s University and is working on a Medical Administrator Certificate from Centenary Collage. After the birth of her first daughter in 2008, Kelly decided to stay home with her family and put her skills to work by becoming a Virtual Assistant.
Kelly is passionate about pre and postnatal wellness and loves to be able to assist women by providing kind and supporting customer service to all of our Bellies Inc. patrons. Kelly resides in Pickering, Ontario with her loving husband and two daughters.
In her spare time she runs the Williams’ Toy Drive with her family, which donates gifts for the holidays to the Pediatric Oncology Department at Scarborough Centenary Hospital and the Red Door Women’s Shelter in Toronto, Ontario.

Shirley is a registered Kinesiologist and is our Director of Education. She handles everything to do with our courses. She schedules them, finds and books the spaces, handles the registrations, communicates with the participants to ensure they are ready for the upcoming course. She is also one of our Master Trainers so you may see her if you attend one of our courses!
This gal knows her stuff and works one on one with many clients including Julia’s (one of our founders) patients. She has her sights on attending physiotherapy school herself one day.

Krista is our resident Fitness Program Manager. She took our course in 2013 and embraced it like no one had before and has created some amazing programs incorporating our philosophies. She is responsible for developing workouts and our exercise library so our trainers always have an up-to-date set of exercises that are Bellies Inc approved!
Krista is a mom of 3 and is also an author. Her book Finding Your Core Strength is available on Amazon and is a great read!
